In order to protect user privacy and comply with aspects of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), FunnelFlux can be set to automatically truncate and hence anonymise IP data.
When our edge processes users, IP data is processed in full to resolve IP-resolved information such as country, city, carrier, etc. This data is not impacted.
However, after this process, the IP can be truncated before being stored in our analytics database.
The IP data can only be viewed in the Raw Events reporting, and will have the form 123.123.123.x
rather than the full IP.
You can set your account to do this automatically for all users, only IPs detected as being from European countries, or not at all.
You can also override this setting at the funnel level under advanced settings.
